The Fondazione Zancan places its Documentation Centre for social policies in Italy and other countries at disposal of social, health and educational professionals, public managers, scholars, students, volunteers and all citizens. The Centre is located in Padova, in via Vescovado, nr. 66.
The Centre contains more than 22.000 titles, including books, articles, papers, research and experimentation projects, and more than 100 reviews regarding social, health and educational policies. The entrance at the Centre is free, it is also possible to do online bibliographical research.
The Fondazione hosts other three centres: the Centre for the analysis of social policies for the protection of vulnerable persons; the Centre of studies for the promotion of health; the International Research Centre on outcome evaluation.
The Centre for the analysis of social policies for the protection of vulnerable people is responsible, in collaboration with Caritas Italy, for the reports on social exclusion in Italy. Editions of the report have been published in 1997, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018. The last edition came out on 2020 under the title «La lotta alla povertà è Innovazione sociale» (Il Mulino, Bologna).
The Centre of studies for the promotion of health coordinates the national network «Smoke free class», which gathers projects on the reduction of tobacco smoking inside schools. The Centre is the Italian link for similar actions on the European level.
The International Research Centre on outcome evaluation:
- promotes the evaluation practice and culture in child and family interventions;
- facilitates the comparison between theories, methods and techniques for outcome evaluation;
- through publications, meetings and international seminars it helps the exchange of experiences and knowledge;
- carries out transnational researches, studies, and experimentations on outcome evaluation.
